 Control Technician

We are an equal opportunity employer dedicated to hiring a diverse workforce. Our team is actively searching for a full-time Controls Technician preferably with TCP/IP experience to join our growing workforce. 

Primary Function:

This position's primary function will include light system installation, system start-up, comissioning and service. 

Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience:

  • Technical degree in engineering or related field of study preferred, or Associate's degree/equivalent from two-year college or technical school with a certificate in HVAC or BAS.

  • 3-5 years experience in an HVAC related field; with control wiring, troubleshooting, HVAC and DDC experience. 

  • Experience reading, writing and troubleshooting DDC programming; including component selection and computer generated electrical circuit sketches. 

  • Ability to multitask effectively between projects.

  • Will be responsible for labeling circuit wiring, testing and monitoring equipment for compliance with engineering specifications and identifying operational operational problems.

  • Must follow electrical regulations and inspect controllers to ensure code compliance while identifying wiring principles and panel layout, in addition to hydraulics control troubleshooting and pneumatics. 

  • Experience in computer networking and with BACnet/LON/Modbus, AutoCAD, Visio and Microsoft Office is not required but preferred. 

  • Ensure correct performance of motion controllers and human machine interfaces. 

  • Repair and debug control devices to avoid production loss and create documentation based on the schematics and wiring plans for each device. 

  • Coordination with Project Managers and other field Technicians. 

  • General Job specific training will be provided, however individual learning will be required.
